We opened our doors in 2018, originally known as Escape Basildon, and has always been a true family venture. From day one, my family poured their hearts into creating exciting, memorable escape room experiences for everyone to enjoy.

I first found my passion for the industry at 15 and began designing 'Phasmophobia'. Together with my dad, Kev, we built it into what it is today.  A huge person involved in the story of us would have to be Katy! This gorgeous lady and her two amazing children supported us through every second of the last (almost) 8 years, as a gameshost and a manager. We got to watch her kids grow up and fall in love with escape rooms too and we cannot thank her enough. I even had my first date with my partner here!

My love for designing new games and challenges only grew, and with the assistance of everyone, eventually led me and my fiance to take the reins completely – and that’s how Clue Finders was born!

​​You might have noticed our logo features a friendly face – that’s Bella, the family cockapoo and our unofficial mascot. If you’re lucky, Bella might even be here to welcome you with a cuddle before or after your game.
